Demo & Integrate – Finalize, test, and prepare for deployment.
Phase 1: Settings – Laying the Foundation
The Settings phase is where you establish the core elements of your interactive experience. Here’s what you can configure:
Project Name and Type: Give your project a unique and memorable name, and choose whether it's a custom build or based on a template.
AI or Chatbot Integration: Select the type of artificial intelligence or chatbot that will power your character’s responses. Rapport offers various integrations and customization options to tailor behavior to your needs.
Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech: Enable real-time speech recognition for user input and leverage AI-generated voices for character responses.
Advanced Options: Explore additional settings to further customize your project’s behavior and functionality.
Phase 2: Application Type – Choosing Your Path
In this step, you define how your interactive experience will be integrated. Choose the Application Type that best suits your project:
Web Application: Configure and deploy your experience for browser-based interaction.
Unreal Plugin: Set up a project configuration tailored for use with the Rapport Unreal Plugin.
Your selection determines the subsequent design and integration workflow, ensuring a tailored experience that fits your platform.
Phase 3: Design – Bringing Your Vision to Life
This is where your project truly comes alive! The Design phase allows you to shape the visual and interactive elements of your experience. Your Design workflow will adapt based on your Application Type, ensuring a seamless creative process that aligns with your integration needs.
For Web Applications:
Characters: Infuse personality into your project with engaging characters. Rapport supports various creation tools, including Ready Player Me and Metahumans (via cloud rendering). Future updates will allow you to import custom characters.
Voice: Select the perfect voice for your character from multiple text-to-speech (TTS) providers, with filtering options by language and real-time previews.
Background: Customize your scene with a background color or a transparent setting.
Content Creation Tools: Craft dialogue, prompts, and responses using built-in tools for scriptwriting and audio uploads, creating an immersive user experience.
For Unreal Plugin:
Model Type (Configuration): Here, you need to select a Model Type (Configuration), which defines the rigging for your character. We provide a default Metahuman configuration file that can be used with Metahumans created in Metahuman Creator. If you are using a specific Metahuman, please contact us for further assistance. For other character types that you want to use in Unreal, reach out to our team to ensure compatibility.
Voice: Choose a voice from multiple TTS providers and test how it sounds with your character.
Preview Behavior: Unlike Web projects, Unreal previews do not display character animation. However, you can test the selected voice by clicking on Preview, which will trigger an animation that visually represents speech activity.
Phase 4: Demo and Integrate – Sharing Your Masterpiece
Once your design is complete, it’s time to fine-tune how your experience is shared and integrated. The options available here will depend on your Application Type selection.
For Web Applications:
Create a Shareable Demo Page: Generate a unique link to showcase your project.
Customize Your Demo: Personalize branding, logos, and colors.
Instant Preview: See real-time changes to your design.
Seamless Integration: Easily embed your project into your website or platform.
For Unreal Plugin:
Project Configuration: Finalize the necessary settings for Unreal Engine integration.
Deploy Token Management: Ensure secure and seamless deployment by managing your deploy tokens for integration with your Unreal project.
By following these steps, you’ll have everything you need to create and share an interactive experience that leaves a lasting impact. Explore the additional resources within Rapport to unlock your full creative potential!
