Creating Projects with Rapport

Rapport makes it simple to go from idea to live experience in just a few clicks. With templates, preconfigured defaults, and Rapport Services, you can start testing instantly — no setup required.

Step 1: Sign Up or Log In

1. Go to rapport.cloud

2. Sign up for a free account or log in

3. After login, you’ll land on your Organisation dashboard with a default workspace created

⏳ Coming Soon: New users will be taken directly into Project Setup after sign-up — no extra steps required.

Step 2: Enter Your Workspace

Inside your Organisation:

• First time users this will be shown as “Initial Workspace”. Click on the Workspace to enter and then jump to Step 3.

• For returning users This opens the Workspace dashboard, showing existing Projects and Assets

Step 3: Create a New Project

Inside your Workspace:

• Click Create New Project

• Choose an Application Type:

  • Web Page – Hosted, full-screen experience you can share instantly

  • Web Widget – Embeddable version for your website

  • Unreal Plugin – For game or 3D integration. Rapport Unreal Plugin

  • Unity Plugin - Coming soon For game or 3d integration

Step 4: Templates

By default a template is pre-selected. You have the option to alter the template.

Settings are inherited from the template.

• Language (STT + AI + TTS linked)

• Voice (TTS provider filtered by language)

• AI Service

• Layout & Branding

This means the languages shown in the Language menu depend on the STT provider defined by the template.

✅ You’ll land in Project Setup with a working preview ready to go.

Why Templates Matter
Templates save time and ensure only valid language, voice, and provider combinations are applied. They make first-time setup frictionless — giving you a working character instantly.

Step 5: Select Your Services

By default, your Project uses Rapport Services (AI, STT, TTS).

Options available:

• Rapport Services → Preconfigured, ready-to-use providers (no setup required)

• My Services → Custom services created by your Workspace Admin with your organisation’s credentials

✅ Quick Start: Stick with Rapport Services — everything is ready out of the box.

Tip: If you need a specific provider, ask your Workspace Admin to add it under Workspace > My Services.

Step 6: Configure Language & Voice

• Language (STT) → Sets the input/output language for speech recognition and text response. Only languages supported by your selected STT provider will appear.

• Voice (TTS) → Defaults to the Rapport Voice Pack, which includes multilingual and accented options from Google, AWS Polly, Azure, and ElevenLabs.

You can:

• Filter voices by language

• Preview and test different voices instantly

Step 7: Customise Your Project

Use the left-hand menu to fine-tune your experience (optional):

• Core Setup → Project Setup, Character, Language & Voice, AI

• Visual & Interaction → Start Message, Branding, Background, Controls

• Advanced Settings → Full control over AI, STT, and TTS providers

✅ Defaults are ready to use. Customise later if needed.

Step 8: Preview & Interact

• The live preview panel shows your character in action

• Unmute mic and speaker

• Say hello or type a message

• Watch your character respond in real time — with voice, animation, and lip-sync

Step 9: Share or Deploy

When you’re ready:

• Web Page → Share a hosted link

• Web Widget → Embed into your website

• Unreal Plugin → Integrate into a game or 3D project

✅ Quick Start: Sharing the hosted link is the easiest way to demo or get feedback.

Tips for Success

• Start with a template → Saves time and ensures valid settings

• Use Rapport Voice Pack first → Then switch to custom TTS if needed

• Remember: Language = STT (speech recognition) and Voice = TTS (speech output)

• Keep your Start Message short and engaging

• Iterate quickly → Changes appear instantly in the live preview
