About Rapport
What is Rapport?
Rapport is an AI roleplay platform where teams design AI-driven role plays, assign them to learners, and measure performance. Learners practice conversations with AI characters in the browser — no installation required.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Rapport runs entirely in the browser — for both admins and learners.
Getting started
How long does setup take?
Under ten minutes from sign-up to your first scored roleplay. Follow the Quick Start Guide.
Can I change my onboarding answers later?
Your profile and organization details can be updated in Organization Settings.
What is the difference between Scenario Templates and My Scenarios?
Scenario Templates — the read-only library of ready-to-run starting points across L&D, Sales, and Customer Experience domains.
My Scenarios — your personal library of templates you have activated and can assign to learners.
Accounts & organizations
What is an Organization?
Your Organization is your company on Rapport. It is created automatically when you sign up and holds your team, billing, scenarios, learners, and analytics.
See Accounts & Access.
How do I invite teammates?
How do I invite teammates? Inviting teammates is available on Business and Enterprise plans. Open Organization Settings and generate an invitation link.. See Organization Settings.
Learners & the Learner Portal
Where do learners sign in?
At https://learner-portal.rapport.cloud/ — the standalone Learner Portal, separate from the admin area. You can share that URL directly with your learners.
Do learners see the admin area?
No. Learners only see the portal, and inside the portal they only see scenarios assigned to them — never other learners' data, analytics, or admin tools.
How do learners sign in?
Learners sign in with the email address you invited them with. On their first sign-in, Rapport sends a verification email to confirm their identity — this happens once only. After that, learners sign in directly with their email or Google account.
Can learners come from our LMS?
Yes — LMS / SCORM Integration is available on Enterprise plans. Learners can be brought in automatically when they launch a SCORM package, and both sources appear in the same Learners list tagged by Source. Click Talk to our team in the Delivery Channels section to find out more. See Learners.
What if a learner has not been assigned anything yet?
They can still sign in, but they will see an empty portal until you assign at least one scenario.
Scenarios & roleplays
Can I create a fully custom scenario?
Custom scenario authoring is on the roadmap. Today, you start from a Scenario Template and save it to My Scenarios. See Scenarios.
How is a learner's attempt scored?
Each attempt is scored across the competencies the scenario targets, with an overall score and a feedback report. Aggregate results show up in Cohort Analytics.
Can a learner attempt the same scenario more than once?
Yes — and repeat attempts power the first vs last attempt comparison in Analytics, which is one of the clearest ways to show measurable improvement.
Analytics
What KPIs does Rapport track?
The headline KPIs are:
-
Scenarios completed
-
Average overall score
-
Average attempts per learner
-
Average duration
Plus learner progress over time and first vs last attempt comparisons. See Cohort Analytics.
What is the difference between Home and Analytics?
Home — a daily-use overview surfacing a subset of KPIs.
Analytics — the full breakdown with filters and detailed views.
Can I export analytics data?
Export options are evolving — check the Cohort Analytics page for the current export controls.
Billing & plans
How do I upgrade or change plan?
From Billing, choose a new plan or contact your Rapport account team for enterprise options.
What are usage minutes?
Usage minutes are the time your learners spend in AI-powered conversation sessions. Minutes are only used when a learner starts a session — you can preview and test any scenario as many times as you like without using a single minute.
Do preview and try-out sessions count against my usage?
No. Previewing and testing scenarios is always free at every plan level. You are only charged when a learner starts a session.
Security & data
Who can see learner attempt data?
Admins and managers can see attempt data via Analytics. Learners only see their own attempts inside the Learner Portal.
Where is my data stored?
Rapport runs in the browser against managed cloud infrastructure. For specifics on data residency or compliance, contact your Rapport account team.
Troubleshooting
A learner says they cannot sign in to the portal
Check that:
-
The learner has been added in Learners with the correct email
-
They are signing in at https://learner-portal.rapport.cloud/, not the admin area URL
-
Their status is not blocked — look for the status badge on their record
I assigned a scenario but the learner does not see it
Confirm the scenario is in My Scenarios (activated), not just sitting in Scenario Templates. Only activated scenarios can be assigned.
Analytics looks empty
Analytics populates as learners complete attempts. If you have just set up your account, ask a learner to run their first scenario — the dashboard updates as data comes in.
